Ralph Varden Trial 2017 – now rescheduled!
The Ralph Varden will now run on Sunday 14th January 2018
Posted 4pm Friday 22nd December 2017
After the snow and ice forced us to call off the Ralph Varden earlier in December on safety grounds the club has now managed to reschedule the event for Sunday 14th January 2018.
Existing entries are still valid so no need to enter again.
Let the secretary know if you can’t make it though and we will withdraw your entry without penalty.
Even though this event will run in early 2018 it is still our final event of the 2017 season.
ENTRIES ARE NOW REOPENED UNTIL TUESDAY 9TH JANUARY 2018
New entries are now open with a closing date of Tuesday 9th January – late entries are allowed but will not be eligible for championship points.
The updated ACU trial regulations are now up so online entries are now open for the Ralph Varden Trail 2017 (in 2018) – you can use the [Pay Entry Fee] link and enter online.
The club will be holding the Ralph Varden Trial 2017 (a round of the Midland Centre Championship) on the 14th January 2018 at Park Farm, Hook Norton, Banbury OX15 5LR. This has been rescheduled as the weather force us to call off the event.
Hook Norton is one of our favourite venues and offers challenges for all abilities. The course is off road in a lovely setting in the woods around the old disused and dismantled railway viaduct. With steep banks above and the stream below there will no doubt be some mud involved somewhere unless we have a hard frost the night before!
As last year we will have 3 main routes plus a 50:50 option to suit all skill levels:
- A – Expert and Intermediate
- A/B – Master (50:50 route)
- B – Clubman and Over 40
- C – Easy route
Open to all ACU members – youths may enter in a non-championship scoring capacity.
Come and enjoy our last trial of 2017 (in 2018!)
